Springtime Festivals You Don’t Want To Miss!

Spring is here and the winter chill will be gone shortly.  It’s time to celebrate all of the fun traditions of festival season in the Grand Strand. Here are a few upcoming Springtime events you won’t want to miss. We’ll see you there!

March 31, 2018 – Sensory-Friendly Easter Egg Hunt at Passive Park in Surfside Beach (10 A.M. to 11 A.M.)
Champion Autism Network (CAN) hosts this year’s Sensory-Friendly Easter Egg Hunt at Passive Park for children with autism and special needs. Event is free! CAN Wesbite: https://championautismnetwork.com/

March 31, 2018 – Town of Surfside Beach Easter Egg Hunt and Children’s Festival (1 P.M. to 4 P.M.)
Kids 10 and under get to participate in the free Easter Egg Hunt. The event also includes inflatables, food, vendors and entertainment. Admission is free at the Huckabee Complex in Surfside Beach at 499 Spanish Oak Drive, Surfside Beach, SC 29575

April 20-29, 2018 – SOS Spring Safari on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach
The Society of Stranders hosts the biggest shag dancing festival on the east coast. Events include tea parties, live music and shagging the night away at popular shag clubs like Fat Harold’s, Duck’s and Pirate’s Cove. April 20-29, 2018 – The 3rd Annual Horry County Fair at the Myrtle Beach Speedway
If dancing the shag isn’t your thing, check out the Horry County Fair. This year’s event will feature fun carnival rides, entertainment, food, games, exhibits, petting zoo plus an exciting Battle of the Bands. Daily admission fees are inexpensive (kids 4 and under are free) and parking is free.

April 20-22, 2018 – Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival at the Oceanfront Boardwalk District between 8th Ave N & 9th Ave N
This festival features the growing fleet of Myrtle Beach area food trucks, craft vendors, a beer garden and fun activities for kids. Sample food truck fare from fun local favorites starting at 6 P.M. on the 20th and at 11 A.M. on the 21st and 22nd. Saturday’s events also include a car show and corn hole tournament. April 28-29, 2018 – Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show at the Myrtle Beach International Airport
The Blue Angels return to the Grand Strand after a decade away to delight fans of all ages. Plan your experience and grab tickets on their website

May 12, 2018 – Mayfest on Main Festival in North Myrtle Beach on Main Street (10 A.M. to 4 P.M.)

May 19-20, 2018 – The 37th Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival on the Historic Little River Waterfront (9 A.M. to 6 P.M.)
A yearly tradition, the World Famous Blue Crab Festival will be celebrating its 37th year in the town of Little River with great food, arts and crafts, live entertainment, fun for the kiddos and much more! Tickets are $5 (kids 12 and under are free). Website: http://www.bluecrabfestival.org/
