Inaugural Plaza City Market Opens in Myrtle Beach

Inaugural Plaza City Market Opens in Myrtle Beach

On September 24th, 2016, the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors and the Five Points Business Association in Myrtle Beach presented the inaugural Plaza City Market in Downtown Myrtle Beach!  The event, the largest market of its kind for the area, was a tremendous success, and hosted 58 vendors with local food and artists, kids activities, music and entertainment, food trucks, and a beer and wine garden.   Agents and friends of Century 21 Broadhurst were in attendance of this fun, local event!

Efforts to revitalize the Five Points District in Myrtle Beach, centered around Nance Plaza, have been ongoing since 2013, and more and more events are planned for the area.  If you’ve never been to the Five Points District in Myrtle Beach, you’ll find many local restaurants, clubs, and boutiques.  The goal of the Five Points Business Association is to transform the downtown area of Myrtle Beach into a vibrant and profitable attraction for locals and tourists.

From comments on the Plaza City market Facebook page,  there are “active plans to open the market several times per month” in 2017.   As you are looking for things to do in Myrtle Beach, keep your calendars tuned in to Nance Plaza and the downtown area of Myrtle Beach for more exciting events like the Plaza City Market!   There really isn’t a more local place to be in Myrtle Beach than downtown where it all began!
